Elizabeth August, Of Counsel

 Liz August is a founding member of August & Suchowski PLLC, where she leads the firm's Probate and Trust Administration practice. With extensive experience in estate and trust matters, Liz guides families through the legal and administrative complexities that follow the loss of a loved one, providing practical counsel and compassionate support at every stage of the process.

Liz oversees all estate administration matters at the firm, representing clients in a wide range of probate and trust proceedings, including contested estate and trust litigation. Her unique perspective as a fourth-generation owner of a family farming business gives her a deep understanding of the challenges facing closely held businesses and multi-generational family assets, particularly in the context of estate planning, succession, and wealth transfer.

Before co-founding August & Suchowski PLLC, Liz practiced at a boutique estate planning firm in Northern Colorado, where she developed a strong foundation in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. She later managed the Probate Practice Group at a Lakewood, Colorado law firm, further expanding her experience in complex estate and fiduciary matters.

In addition to her estate and probate practice, Liz's legal experience includes consumer bankruptcy representation and advocacy on behalf of taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and state departments of revenue. This diverse background allows her to identify and address a broad range of financial and legal issues that often arise during estate administration.
